This is a made to order piece , so the one in the photo has already been sold. When you order yours you can give me a rough idea of shape and size that suits you and your space.
This one is made from a dark characterful slab of elm. The wood is 45mm thick, 1500mm long and 600mm at its widest point.
Please be aware that single slabs like this are all likely to have various splits/faults and defects. With the use of pigmented epoxy all faults and splits soon become features. Further splitting and movement of the wood is prevented by the use of epoxy butterfly inlays or inlay ‘stitches’.
Legs in this photo are tailored to the shape of the table. They have been sanded at the joints, buffed up and then coated with beeswax.
